Audition and Meeting for West Coast Swing Competition and Performance Team

*****PLEASE PASS THIS INFORMATION ALONG***** Ever wanted to perform a routine? Not sure about putting yourself on the floor in a spotlight situation? Become part of a team that gives you the chance to perform and compete without all the pressure! What you get from it: In addition to the above, you get 2 hours of coaching a week. In addition to learning the patterns and tricks involved in the routine, we'll also work on improving technique and connection. What I get from it: I would really like to see the WCS scene grow here in NYC. Teams really do help scenes grow. They build camaraderie and the performing around the city builds awareness of the dance. I tell people on a daily basis what WCS is and everyday people think the only "swing" that exists is the Big Band style. Attendance is required from 4-6 PM. I do need you to show up to the Choreography class from 4-5 PM so I see how you learn, how well you work with others, etc. What I've done is made this part of my workshop schedule so the 4 PM is actually an open class so there is no pressure. Since I have to pay to rent the space for the class, you do have to pay to take the class at 4 PM but there is no charge for the meeting as it will take place in the lounge area of the studio. 4:00 PM CHOREOGRAPHY - Learn how to put cool patterns together with great musicality. This class will introduce 30-45 seconds of choreography to encompass Timing, Technique, Connection, Musicality, and Creativity. Use the material from this class to impress your friends, put yourself on youtube, or become a part of the NEW Performance team I’m forming!
