Audition & Info Session for NYC JT Swing Teams - Season 9

📍 Ripley Grier Studios (520 8th Ave), Studio 16N 🗓 Monday, April 3 💲 $20 per person or $30 per partnership (one leader and one follower) 👟 Bring your dance shoes and stretchy clothes. This audition and info session will be a preview of what rehearsals are like. ABOUT THE TEAM(S): Learning choreography is a great way to improve your timing, technique, and teamwork while gaining performance skills to boost your confidence. All dancers will be expected to already know, understand and execute the basics of WCS and be able to dance them on time to music. For Varsity, dancers will be expected to learn advanced rhythm variations, one footed spins, and have advanced knowledge of teamwork/partnering. JV: Novice/intermediate level routine VARSITY: Advanced/all-star level routine REHEARSAL INVESTMENT: 4 hours a month with the team and 1 hour a week by yourself or with a team member. Each team meets for two hours every other week. JV: 1st & 3rd Wed 7:00-9:00PM VARSITY: 2nd & 4th Wed 7:00-9:00PM FINANCIAL INVESTMENT: $650 paid in full OR $700 paid in two payments of $350 each COSTUME: Black Pants Black Shoes Black JT Swing Teams T-Shirt (purchased separately) PERFORMANCE: We'll definitely be doing as many local performances as possible, but you'll also have the opportunity to perform with other JT Swing Team members from other cities and countries at a number of dance events and competitions. This is NOT a competition team, but a team designed for improving your dance with choreography by two of the best WCS dancers in the world and getting the opportunity to perform and share this dance we all love!
