AUDITION!!! - The Mojo Movement - Salsa comp teams Open and Amateur

It’s that time of year again where we’ll start preparing for competition season. This year the Mojo Movement will be doing 2 salsa teams Amateur and Open (Semi-Pro/Pro) Thursday nights with Alex & Madalyn - Amateur & Open teams 8-10pm Dance Culture We will run 2 x 10 week training blocks with 2 hours per week. You will be expected to train an extra night/day outside of the rehearsal period. You must register as a couple however let us know if you don’t have a regular partner and we can match you up (especially boys). There will be a small audition process for those who were not familiar with. But we’ll let you know if you’re pre-approved to participate. Rehearsal dates. Amateur team (Thursday nights) Block 1 - 29/6-31/8 Block 2 - 5/10-7/12 Important dates Compulsory performances 2/9 QLD JnJ comp (if we’re ready) 1-3/12 World Salsa Solos (must buy competitions pass under “The Mojo Movement” 9/12 Latin Cabaret Optional performances Japan trip 14-24 September performances in Niseko, Tokyo and Osaka Sydney salsa mambo convention 28/30 October Costs - $660 per person per term. Additional costs - costumes tbc Amateurs maybe invited to take part in the open team without affecting their amateur status.
