Payment: vipps 200,- to Kloke Kropper #623168 Authentic movement is an invitation to close our eyes, pause, breathe, sense, and feel. More than anything, it is an invitation to practice witnessing. It is so simple... Two roles, mover and witness. As the mover closes their eyes and steps into the center of the room, the witness holds the space with full attention. Trust, maturity, and commitment are at the core of the practice. As a mover, the practice allows me to explore myself through movement, observing what is there, unfolding layers from within as I am supported by the nonjudgemental presence of my witness. As a witness, I support the mover and become aware of my reactions, taking ownership, observing the projections, and developing genuine acceptance, empathy, and love. Mario Blanco has been practicing Contact Improvisation for the last 10 years. During this time he has been sharing the practice by creating and organizing Festivals and giving workshops. He is interested in improvisation as a way to express the emergence of qualities and phenomena, human and more than human, that most of the time resist conceptualization and instead invite to be somatized, embodied, and felt. Passionate about this topic, he has explored and facilitated practices like Authentic Movement and Contemplative Dance. He conceived the Silent Contact Retreat, a week-long gathering to practice Contact improvisation and silence, and developed an underwater dance practice with the name OceanDance, both holding yearly events for the last 6 years. He is currently based in Oslo where he hosts regular jams and longer CI events, and where he will be hosting this summer's Silent Contact Retreat.
