Autumn Equinox

A special evening of soul filled entertainment Northey Street City Farm has hosted equinox and solstice events for over 25 years. We hope you can join us for the Autumn Equinox Cabaret, where we will be celebrating the water element. There will be a water honouring ceremony, a cacao and ecstatic movement ritual and live entertainment, free permaculture workshops and free earth arts activities for the kids and adults alike! Main Stage Program 6:00pm Gates Open: Everyone must register at the Box Office for Covid Safety 6:20pm Welcome with First Nations Story Teller and Performer Derek Sandy 6:30pm Water Autumn Equinox Ceremony with Emma Brindal and Em Maltby from WiseEarth Education "Together we will honour this time of balance in the sun cycle when the day and night are equal. It will be an opportunity to reflect on and invite in balance to our own lives and connect with our gratefulness for the sacred gift of water." 7:00pm Spoken Word with Naavikaran 7:30pm LED hoops - Bang Bang! with Abbii Allora 7:45pm Cacao and Ecstatic Dance Ritual by Adrian Mornay 9:00pm Sound Healing Live Music with Tashka & Tree FREE Permaculture Workshops in the Nursery Jungle Bar 6:45pm Worms and Composting with Brian Donald the Worm Man 7:15pm Plants as Medicine with Naturopath Samantha Somers 7:45pm Power Up Qld: Transitioning Queensland 100% Renewable Energy with the Queensland Conservation Council Free Arts Workshops in the Mandala Space all Night including: Earth Arts for Children and Adults and Affirmation Writing for the Tree of Life With a fundraising Jungle Bar and Chai Cafe with sustainability cooks from Bond Street Eats, all proceeds go to Northey Street City Farm as a not for profit organisation. A great night for the whole family on the green under the stars, we hope you bring a date, your grandparents and kids. Although children under 18 are FREE, they still need to be registered for a free ticket for safe covid planning. Everyone on site must register at the Box Office for Covid Safety.
