Boriša is creating special DJ sets characterized with deep, meditative, trance quality. He sees music and dance being of an utmost importance for personal mental and physical well-being. An inner balance is created through meditative and trance experience obtained through listening and dancing to his DJ sets. He became interested in Kizomba primarily because of the partner connection and music embodiment that are such prominent features of this dance. With deep respect to Kizomba roots and inventions of future, Borisha is offering dancers a meditative environment where they can experience trance through partner dancing. AWAKEN goes beyond music and dance. It explores communication between dance partners and question our everyday interpersonal relationship stigmas and fears. Close connecting dance over-bridges our expectations and social barriers and opens new possibilities in our interaction with others. At the same time it raises questions of trust, consent and objectification. AWAKEN is about music, dance, touch, connection, trance, meditation, trust, awareness, sensuality, sexuality, reasoning, discourse, love, community, feminism, de-mystification, honesty, openness, challenge, respect, personal and social change, better world...
