Three years of Thursdays taught DJ Mike Sensation exactly how this crowd wants to move. That crowd found a new home, and it's in Lutz. Bachata and Bourbon is Tampa Bay's newest Bachata night, held at The Drinks at 9 Bar & Grill and built for dancers who take their Bachata seriously and a bar that takes its bourbon just as seriously. Happy hour runs 7 to 8 PM. At 8:30, world-ranked dance instructor Jenny Marie leads a Bachata lesson open to any level, first-timers through advanced. From 9 PM on, DJ Mike Sensation runs the floor, the same read on a room that three years of Thursday nights were built on. All night, the bar is pouring from a bourbon selection 125 bottles deep, serious enough to hold its own with or without the dance floor next to it. No cover, ever.
