Musicality is more than dancing to the beat and hitting the breaks. In this workshop, Woo & Illary will help dancers explore how connection, timing and movement choices can bring the music to life between partners. 🕦 11:30am – 1:00pm Vish & Shan Music and Movement — In Sync: Where the music translates to movement. Vish & Shan will guide dancers through a Bachata Shines choreography designed to connect musicality, body movement and style. 🕢 7:30pm – 8:30pm Rob & Mica Light Up the Floor: Where energy meets the dance floor. Rob & Mica’s 60-minute evening workshop is built to lift the energy before the social begins, with moves, timing and flow to help dancers walk straight onto the floor ready to dance. 𝗝𝗔𝗖𝗞 & 𝗝𝗜𝗟𝗟 💃 Heats and Semi-Finals: from 1:45pm 🏆 Finals: 8:30pm Jack & Jill entry is capped at 20 leads and 20 followers. Dancers will be paired at random and judged on connection, musicality, timing, creativity and social dance quality. Each round will include 3 songs, approximately 90 seconds each: two Moderna/Sensual songs and one Traditional/Dominican song. Spots are limited, so booking early is recommended. 𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗔 𝗦𝗢𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 🪩 Social dancing from 9:00pm onwards After the workshops and Jack & Jill Finals, the night continues with gala energy, social dancing and the Melbourne bachata community lighting up the floor. Featuring DJ Sanch, DJ Woo and DJ La playing the best Bachata tunes for the Winter Gala dance floor. 𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗗𝗘 The theme is Winter Gala.
