Wir starten damit wo wir momentan am komfortabelsten sind: „Bachata Fusion“. Achtung: das wird kein blutiger Anfänger Workshop sein. Biographien (English) Bio Marina Sol: I introduced myself for the first time into the salsa world at the age of 14. I have practiced ballet and Tango. After becoming a professional belly dancer, I rediscovered the flavour of bachata and decided to put special emphasis on it by taking all kind of courses and workshops given by different teachers with diverse styles. After some time, my bachata style became a result of the different dancing styles that I have learned before. This is when I decided to start preparing myself for different competitions and shows in couple or in group. I’ve been teaching along with Alejandro Peca since almost 2 years. Bio Alejandro Peca: Alejandro is a social dancer, performer and instructor born and raised in Cali (Colombia). Music and dance has been part of his entire life. Already at a very young age he was dancing Salsa, Merengue, Bolero, and Vallenato, as well as playing musical instruments (guitar and drums) at the local cultural scene. As a teenager, added to his evolving dancing skills, he practiced 3 years of martial arts and classical ballet. In 2002 he traveled to Germany. By 2005, impressed by the salsa styles, different from what he knew from the homeland, he decided to take lessons in Casino, Salsa Cross Body Style, and Cuban Rumba. Roughly by mid 2000’s, when the Bachata boom hit Europe, he had still in his mind the reminiscences of dancing with the family the Merengues and the experimental Boleros (Bachata Rosa!) of Juan Luis Guerra in the early 90s. By 2012, he started to teach Bachata, embracing on the way the arising sub-genres - moderna, “Dominican”, Bachatatango, and sensual - into his dancing approach. Alejandro has been teaching big groups since roughly 7 years, domestically and internationally. In Berlin he is co-responsible of the flourishing of the Bachata community in Berlin. Alejandro’s social dancing style is multifaceted and musicality constitutes his second nature. His classes are fun, but he never forgets the main goal of a usual dance class, namely to teach what is proper according to the announced class: show moves are for performing, and social dance patterns must be “followable and leadable”. In 2013, he adopted the following slogan for his classes: sabor and technique.
