Bachata Musicality - 301 The Deep Dive

Elevate your dancing by understanding the music you dance to better 🙂 When we dance we illustrate what the music tells us to do. Multiple elements in Bachata music can help you predict what will happen in a song, adapt your energy depending on the structure and become one with the music. Now we went through the instruments and varied parts of a song (if you don't know what I am talking about, please attend Musicality 101 and 201 at 6.30pm the same day) we are diving even deeper into the structure of Bachata music. We will go through: - The Bachata square: what is the basic structure of a song and what are the most common changes you can expect - What are the repetitive patterns that you can apply to any songs - How to predict the change in between sections and upcoming breaks There will be a balance between theory and application. We will not be learning patterns here but will focus on what to do when you hear a break is coming to ensure a smooth transition and get back on timing. This is not just for leaders, followers have a huge responsibility in musicality and illustrating the music in partnered dance.
