Bachata on Mt. Washington Kick-off to the FTLOB Summer Weekender

Your favorite Bachata social is BACK! For the Love of Bachata on Mt. Washington is the event that captured hearts back in 2013 and propelled me (Jessica) into event organizing. 12 years later, FTLOB is still going strong and still dancing in our favorite Pittsburgh spot. 📍 Which overlook? We will be on the overlook directly across from the Carnegie Library on Grandview. Use the address: 315 Grandview Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15211 to locate it. 🗓️⏰ Schedule: 6:30pm - there will be a mini-Bachata lesson to give you a few steps to enjoy the rest of the night with 7-10pm - open social dancing! Mostly Bachata with a few Salsas, Merengues, and even a Dembow animation thrown in. 💵 Cost This social is always FREE and open to all, though it is part of the FTLOB Summer Weekender and attendance at the rest of the weekend is appreciated! The overlook does not have a safe space for you to keep your belongings. 👟 Shoes: Wear comfortable shoes that you can dance in on concrete. 🚻 Bathrooms: The nearest restaurant is several blocks away on Shiloh St. 🍽️ Grab food before/after: Down at the end of Grandview on the right is Shiloh St. This is a hot spot of restaurants for this area. Some we like are: ☕Grand Brew - closes 7pm 🍦 DiFiore’s Ice Cream (cash only) - closes 9pm 🍽️ Shiloh Gastro - closes 11pm 🍽️ Gordo’s Tacos & Tequila - closes 12am 🚗 Drive & park on Mt. Washington: - Street parking on Grandview, free at this time. - Some paid lots on Shiloh St., read signs to check - Residential parking on side streets - beware. Read signs. - Take the Monongahela Incline to Mt. Washington: You can also park at the bottom of the Monongahela Lower Station in Station Square and ride the incline up to Grandview Avenue on Mt.
