Bachata Student Team

We welcome you to be a part of the Pura Vida Dance family! We are starting a new season of our Bachata Student Team with a brand new choreography this summer! Join us on Monday, Sept 10th @ 7PM for the opportunity to join our team and to learn more about us. The purpose of this team is to take individuals who either can't commit long-term to a team due to work, school, etc or have only been dancing for a few months and want to raise their level of dancing to a performance setting. During the 10 weeks you'll learn the difference between social dancing and performing for an audience, some drills and exercises that'll help you become a better overall dancer and you'll experience first-hand some of the work these professional dancers have to put behind every great performance. You'll also build some great bonds with your teammates and get to perform in front of friends and family at various local venues throughout NYC (if you choose to). Notes: - Info session will be held on Monday, Sept 10th @7pm (see address in location description) and are at NO CHARGE to you. - Rehearsals will run every Monday night from 7-8:30pm for 10 weeks thereafter. - We will cover expectations, commitments and costs on the day of. Please arrive early to fill out paperwork. - Performing is optional, you may choose to take the course without performing. - Please wear comfortable clothing and dance shoes as we'll be running drills & exercises - These auditions are meant to be fun and are mainly for us to get to know you. As long as you have a good understanding of Bachata timing & fundamentals, you'll be ok. - We are looking for open-minded individuals with a fun spirit and hard-working attitude, just like us!
