Bachata Weekend with Anthony & Carla in Vancouver

Bachata sensations Anthony & Carla visit Vancouver for the very 1st time from September 19th to the 22nd! Seize this amazing opportunity to learn from two of the most popular instructors internationally right now, and immerse yourself in an exciting 2-day workshop series where we will explore the broad spectrum of the beautiful Dominican style. Day 1: Saturday, September 21st, 12:00 to 3:00 pm Day 2: Sunday, September 22nd, 11:00 to 2:00 pm Where: Wise Hall, 1882 Adanac St. PROGRAM ● PART 1 (Saturday September 21st, 3 hours) - Dominican Bachata Styles - Connecting with your partner - Leading & following - Musicality: understanding Bachata music PROGRAM ● PART 2 (Sunday September 22nd, 3 hours) - Footwork techniques - Body movement and isolations - Syncopated footwork combinations - Musicality Part 2: interpreting the dance in connection with the music Price: $120 per couple, per workshop. PLEASE NOTE: tickets for this event are sold in PAIRS, therefore you need to come with a partner. This is to avoid having a very unbalanced class. That being said, given the characteristics of leading and following in Bachata, where leading does not necessarily require a completely different footwork (as in Salsa), we do encourage same sex/gender pairs to join the workshop. The idea is that one of the two will play a more leading role, but both will learn roughly the same in terms of footwork, etc. The $120 price tag is for two people.
