Bachata Weekender in Moncton (workshops)

ENGLISH WILL FOLLOW* Ateliers de Bachata à Moncton! En 2021, je suis venu vous visiter à Moncton pour la 1re fois. J'ai eu la chance de rencontrer votre belle communautée de danse et d'offrir quelques ateliers de Bachata. J'ai tout simplement adoré l'expérience et j'ai gardé beaucoup de bons souvenir avec plusieurs d'entre vous. Cette année j'ai l'opportunitée de revenir vous voir! Comme j'ai eu beaucoup de demande après mon premier passage, cette fois ci nous ferons les choses en grand! Nous profiterons de mon bref passage pour partager le plus de Bachata possible avec vous, et avoir le plus grand impacte possible sur votre danse. Je vous invite donc à me rejoindre pour une FIN DE SEMAINE d'ateliers de Bachata! À quoi s'attendre : L'objectifs des ateliers est de vous développer en tant que danseurs et vous donner la compréhension et maitrise nécéssaire afin d'amener votre bachata au prochain niveau. On vise vraiment la QUALITÉ de votre danse et non la QUANTITÉ des mouvements. Sujets couverts : BACHATA MODERNE - Remplir sa Bachata, Musicalité, Structure, patterns et tours de niveau inter, Principes de Leading & Following, etc BACHATA SENSUAL - Body Movement, Isolations, Connection, Comment augmenter votre niveau (layers of movement + Movement intonations), etc. BONUS - Tricks! (Advanced, no lifts) Méthodologie : Partnerwork, Exercisses, Discussions, Expériences, etc. Niveau : On couvre de tout! Débutant, Inter et Avancé! Prenez l'opportunitée pour apprendre le plus possible même si c'est difficile. Si vous ne pouvez pas suivre un certain bout de l'atelier parce que c'est trop difficile pour vous, prenez des notes et des vidéos! Vous serez content de les avoir quand vous serez plus loin dans votre parcour! Lieux : Avenir Center À l'extérieur sous le préau. Nous aurons un studio de 'Back-Up' en cas de mauvais temps. Samedi 31 Août : 1-5 PM Dimanche 1er Septembre : 1-5 PM Prix : 120$ pour les 2 après-midis (cash) Ces ateliers sont offert en tant qu'expérience complète. Nous recommendons de vous inscrire à la fin de semaine en entier. Si vous ne pouvez pas être là pour toute la fin de semaine, vous pouvez venir Samedi uniquement, pour 80$. *Tout participant doit déjà maitriser ses bases de bachata (Pas de bases, tours simples, comprendre la base du leading & following). **Bien que le tout se déroulera dans un cadre de danse sociale et avec les bonnes techniques, la Bachata Sensuelle implique beaucoup plus de proximité et de contact que la Bachata Moderne. Pour éviter d'avoir une mauvaise surprise, tout participant devrait être à l'aise avec la proximité, le contact et les changements de partenaires. I had the chance of meeting your beautiful dance community and giving some Bachata workshops. I simply loved the experience and made a lot of good memories with many of you. This year I have the opportunity to come back and see you guys again! Since a lot of people reached out and asked for more after my first visit, this time we will do much more! We'll use the opportunity to share as much Bachata as possible with all of you, in order to have the biggest impact possible on your dancing. And so I invite you to join me for a whole WEEKEND of Bachata Workshops! What to expect: The goal of the workshops is to develop yourself as a dancer, and give you the understanding and skills necessary to take your Bachata to the next level. We are really aiming for the QUALITY of your dancing, and not the QUANTITY of moves you'll learn. Content : MODERN BACHATA - Fill your bachata dances, Musicality, Structure, Intermediate Patterns & Turns, Principles of Leading & Following, etc. BACHATA SENSUAL - Body Movement, Isolations, Connection, How to increase your level (Layers of Movement + Movement Intonations), etc. BONUS - Tricks! (Advanced, no lifts) Methodology : Partnerwork, exercises, Conversations, Experiences, etc. Level : We do it all! Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced! Take the opportunity to learn as much as possible even if it's difficult. If you can't follow a specific part of the workshops because it's too difficult for you, take notes and videos! You will be grateful to have them when you're a little further in your dance adventure! Location : Avenir Center Outside under the pavilion/covered area. We will have a back up studio in case of bad weather. Saturday August 31st : 1-5 PM Sunday September 1st : 1-5 PM Price : 120$ for the two afternoons. (Cash) We recommend to subscribe for the whole weekend. If you can't make it for the whole weekend, you can attend the Saturday workshop only, for 80$. *Everyone should already master their Bachata Basics (Basic steps, simple turns, understanding the basics of leading and following). **While everything will be happening in the context of social dancing and with good techniques, Sensual Bachata involves a lot more proximity and physical contact than Modern Bachata. In order to avoid any bad surprises, everyone should already be comfortable with proximity and changing partners. See you soon!
