Baila! Memphis 2018: Back to Basics

In our third installment of Baila! Memphis, we’re going back to the basics! We are focusing on fundamentals and foundations, with 6 hours of workshops that will build your core skills in Bachata and Salsa. We are grateful to have Edwin and Dakota of Areíto Arts returning to expand our knowledge of Bachata and its roots. We are also are pleased to bring Jennifer Geyer of Rumbao Latin Dance to our event for the first time. Jennifer has quickly built a reputation as one of the lightest and best follows in the US and will headline our workshops on spinning and lead and follow technique. On Friday night, we are focused on just social dancing. 5 hours of JUST music. Saturday, will be more of the same, with a brief (30 minute or less) intermission for performances, highlighting local talent in the Mid-South and one or two special acts from the Midwest… To be sure, this will be a fun-filled weekend of instruction, performances, and social dancing.
