Bailando Nights: Spring Latin Dance Fest 'After Party'

Hi everyone, We have a new Latin festival in the city. https://www.facebook.com/events/261025177889282/?ti=cl Next month we have some amazing artists coming to Christchurch and the good news is that they will be performing at Bailando Nights. We have Artia & Madalyn from Australia and Ricky & Yan from Auckland. They are one of the most talented dancers and international performers. They will be teaching Mambo class and also performing at the night. Artia has achieved national and international success as a Solo artist, in partnered Salsa and Bachata routines, and in some of Australia’s finest Shines and Couples teams. He is also a Salsa-maniac on the social floor. Throughout it all, Artia exudes more flavour than a Vegemite sandwich, more strength than Roger the Kangaroo, more moves than an Australian politician, more manliness than an Outback miner, and more good looks than a Hemsworth. He’s like the male, Salsa version of Kylie Minogue, with designer stubble and tighter fitting pants! Madalyn has been performing since the tender age of 6 starting with singing, musical theatre and then dance. Trained in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Foxtrot, Waltz, Quickstep, Tango, Rumba, Bolero, Cha Cha, Salsa, Swing, Mambo, Bachata and Samba. She is a now fully qualified Ballroom and Latin Dance Instructor, an Australian Latin Dance Champion and prominent instructor/artist in the Australian Latin Dance Industry. She loves training her ladies teams for shows and competitions, enjoys social dancing in the community with her students and is grateful to be doing what she loves for a living. Ricardo and Yan have a combined Latin dance experience of 12 years where they have individually trained, competed, and performed; travelling extensively around the world including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Singapore, United States, as well as nationally around New Zealand. As well as competing and performing, they both share a passion for the social dance floor where they believe the true essence of Latin dance lies. They have partnered up and commenced coaching their own salsa teams in Auckland.
