Hey Outdoor Dancers! 🎉 We’re back this Friday, July 31st, at The Gateway Plaza at FDR Park, and you won’t want to miss it! Join us for **Bailar en FDR: Summer Vibes!** 🌞 The night kicks off with an exhilarating salsa & bachata lesson led by the amazing Rob & Marina at 7 PM! No experience or partner needed—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to move! After the lesson, the party really heats up with DJ Valentin Flores from Dance Philly spinning the hottest Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue tracks! 🎶 And guess what? Taqueria Morales will be there serving up the best tacos and Mexican antojitos to satisfy your cravings! Location: Gateway Plaza at FDR Park Broad Street and Pattison Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19145 More Details: Join the Fairmount Park Conservancy and DJ Valentin Flores on select Fridays from 7-11 PM at the Gateway Plaza. Experience the vibrant atmosphere, meet new friends, and discover a fun way to stay fit through dance! Schedule: - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Dance lesson (all levels welcome) - 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM: Social dance This awesome venue has everything you need, from custom benches to bike racks, making it the perfect spot for a fantastic night out! Tickets: FREE! Just RSVP. Donations are appreciated to help keep these amazing programs going! Know Before You Go: You’re invited to join the all-levels lesson AND the social dance—come for either, but we hope to see you for both! Taqueria Morales will take cash, card, or Venmo. All ages and skill levels are welcome—just remember, minors must be with an adult! Since this event is completely outdoors, dress for the weather and get ready to dance! The plaza surface is concrete with small pebbles, so comfy sneakers are a must! There are porta-potties nearby for your convenience. Bring your own water and snacks (no drinking fountains available). Don’t forget sunscreen and bug spray! Alcohol is not allowed at the event. Stay in the loop! Important updates will be sent via email, so double-check your email address when you RSVP. Driving & Parking: Enter via Pattison Ave near Broad Street and follow the signs for parking. Multiple lots are available—look for the “P” markers. It’s just a short walk to the plaza! Public Transit: Hop on the Broad Street Line to NRG Station (last stop). The Gateway Plaza is right across the street (a quick two-minute walk).
