VISUALIZING TANGO MUSICALITY a presentation by Jay Abling (in English) Monday, May 20th, 2:20 pm (just before the afternoon closing milonga) Using meticulously crafted animations, “Visualizing Tango Musicality” will delve into the intricate layers of tango music unravelling its depth and complexity as well as the symbiotic relationship between movement and sound. Jay Abling combines his skills * creating hand-crafted animations that both educate and entertain as they dance across the screen, illustrating the rhythmic, dynamic and emotional shifts inherent in tango music. * Jay (our DJ on Saturday night) is also a well known tango teacher in the U.S who trained as a classical vocalist and pianist. He has a background in choral conducting, and holds a bachelor's degree in communications.
