Balboa… new term for beginners and experienced

Been missing Bal? Heard about Balboa but not tried it (we need to talk!). Love doing swing however want to learn that dance they do to fast music? Can dance Bal however want to improve your Bal? Maybe you just want to learn another dance style? Or doing Bal is better than sitting at home! Whatever the reason… great news… our Balboa classes are back for 2026 on Monday nights!! The next term of Balboa is starting MONDAY 2nd February. ❤️ Teachers… Trish and Derek are simply absolutely beautiful Balboa dancers. They’ve been dancing and teaching Bal for years, have learnt from the greats, won numerous Bal competitions and are competition Balboa judges (they were judges at last years Australian Swing Dance competition that’s part of SLX) ❤️ Class times are… 7:00pm Beginners 8:00pm Intermediate/experienced ❤️ The venue… Newtown Neighbourhood Centre has a fabulous polished wooden floor, is air conditioned and is a lovely size space. ❤️ The address is… Newtown Neighbourhood Centre 11-13 Darley St Newtown (Press the buzzer for Gadigal room… then when it unlocks come through the reception to the next room… follow the music! Or on the key pad press 75192 and the bent arrow… the door should unlock) To get a feel for location it’s only a few steps from King St… around the corner from the Botany View Hotel. ❤️ Getting there… Most nights there’s street parking in Darley St and King St (unmetered or two hour). There’s also parking in Sydney Park. It’s a 5 minute walk down King St from Newtown station (walk towards the chimney stacks however don’t go that far!) or a 2 mins walk from St Peter’s. ❤️ Payment… Classes are $22 per person per class, or $75 for a 4 class pass (valid for 3 months) We take cash or card in class. No partner??? No problem! You can come on your own or with a partner.
