Balkan Style Village Dance Party

Balkan music concert and dance with an introduction to the traditions of Balkan village dance from Bulgaria. The musicians will share their reflections on the the stories behind the selections. The event will also include a fun introduction to Argentine Tango Dance hosted by Inner Space Tango Fest artistic Director David Richardson. Co-Sponsors include, Michael Gage, who has trained in both the village folk dance styles of Bulgaria and has become expert performer of the traditional music styles of the Balkan region and International Folk Dance of Greenbelt, Maryland. You're invited to join this village celebration of world music, art and dance from Bulgaria. with authentic music of the world renowned, Transatlantic Music Ensemble, Bulgarika. They will play live on stage, and in the tradition of the village dance, joining you on the dance floor. No previous dance experience needed. Suggested Donation $15 - $20 at the venue.
