Ballroom Association Kickoff

Join BAM for our fall kickoff! There are three hours of lessons and two hours of social dancing, and it's all FREE. The event will be in Varsity III, on the second floor of Union South (1308 W Dayton St). No partner or experience necessary--this is all about having fun! Here's the schedule for the night: 7pm: Beginner American Tango with Eugene Tsai and Anna Nadon 8pm: Beginner Hustle with Pete Koczan 9pm: Beginner American Waltz with BJ Achim 10pm: Social dancing For more information on the night's teachers, check out http://www.ballroomuw.org/our-instructors.html Beginners shouldn't feel awkward about social dancing--this is where the most learning (and fun!) happens. Look for anyone with a BAM shirt, a yellow badge, or anyone who seems to know what they're doing, and ask them to teach you a few things: they'll be more than happy to share a few tricks! We will be selling memberships at Kickoff. Fall semester: $15 for students; $25 for non-students Full year: $25 for students; $35 for non-students We will also be selling t-shirts and shoe brushes. To keep the floor in good condition, please bring a clean pair of shoes for dancing. For directions, parking, and FAQ, refer to our website at www.ballroomuw.org. Event is open to BAM members, and all UW-System students, faculty, staff, and their guests. Must be prepared to show valid UW-System photo ID. Guests must be 18 years or older with proof of age.
