Its a family class so jump in! 4:00pm-4:30pm Kids Salsa & Latin (ages 7+) Harness your kids' energy to the beat of Salsa, Merengue & Bachata during our Fall classes. Ongoing classes offered Mondays and Tuesdays 5pm-5:45pm in the Fall 4:30pm-5pm Break/ Registration open 5:00pm -5:30pm Youth Dance Information/ Registration 5:30pm-6pm SALSA ON2 for adults (teens welcome) 6:00pm-6:30pm Bachata Traditional Style 6:30pm-7pm Latin Jazz (ballet/jazz shoes welcome but not necessary) 7:00pm-7:30pm SALSA ON2 with Rumba 7:30pm-8pm Bachata Sensual Style 8pm-8:30pm Adult Program Information/ Registration Our classes are gender-inclusive to leading/following roles. We just recommend to stick with the role you choose throughout an entire beginner class series. Our childrens' classes are conducted bilingually in English/Spanish. Fall program includes a Tuesdays (starting Sept. 17th + 2 Saturdays/month program. Scholarship available and we offer sibling discounts. Private Instruction is always available upon request, just ask! _______________________ Instructor Dance Bio: Vanessa Villalobos, M.F.A. + guest instructors TBA Vanessa Villalobos is a certified American Ballroom & Smooth dance instructor trained at the American Ballroom Theatre Company by Pierre Dulaine and Yvonne Marceau, Broadway's notorious champion adagio couple. Her salsa roots are from New York, having studied with Artie Sheppard(Palladium composer/vaudeville dancer/legend), Mike Ramos & Freddy Rios (Palladium Mambo duo) among others. Her Latin training is influenced by Melanie LaPatin and Tony Meredith (choreographers for So You Think You Can Dance), Richard Pierlon and Cecilia Marta. She has competed in Ballroom Cabaret divisions with partner Frank Perez placing 10th in the world, and later trained with Hustle on1 champion dancer Miguel Marrerro. While in Seattle, she joined the MamboU family to continue her studies with Andre Mintz, former Santorico dance member. Vanessa's repertoire of dance study has led her to create multi-disciplinary projects using dance as an empowerment medium. For example; The Peruvian Project (a film-music-dance work presented at The Duke Theatre Times Square), Reflections of OYA (a visual art-music-dance collaboration presented at the Bellevue Meyenbauer) and "Poetic Translations; A Visceral Journey" (a visual art-poetry-dance collaboration presented at Art Xchange Gallery funded by the City of Seattle). She has danced professionally with Eduardo Aguirre/E.Mayimbe, World Salsa Champion, for 3 years representing Seattle's Salsa community via multiple platforms. Vanessa's film credits include roles in MadHot Ballroom and Walt Disney's Enchanted as a principle dancer.
