BAM Social Dance

Join BAM for an evening of social dancing! The dashing Dallas Newton will teach an intermediate quickstep lesson, followed by a beginner quickstep lesson, before the social. Beginners shouldn't be hesitant to join us for social dancing--this is where the most learning happens. Look for anyone with a yellow badge (or anyone else who looks like they know what they're doing) and ask them to teach you a few things: they'll be more than happy to share a few tricks! 6:30-7:15: Intermediate Quickstep lesson* 7:15-8:00: Beginner Quickstep lesson 8:00-11:00: Social dancing *To take the intermediate quickstep lesson, one must have one semester of in-depth dance experience or one year of social dancing, possess basic knowledge of standard frame and dancing "in connection," and know the natural spin turn. Here's the pricing info. Lesson: Free for members; $5 for nonmembers Social: $3 for members, $5 for nonmembers Fall membership: $15 for students; $25 for non-students Full year-membership: $25 for students; $35 for non-students Memberships and admission will be sold at the door. We will also be selling t-shirts and shoe brushes. To keep the floor in good condition, please bring a clean pair of shoes for dancing. Must be prepared to show valid UW-System photo ID. Guests must be 18 years or older with proof of age.
