Band night! 14 May @ St Michael's, 8:30 pm (after class)

It's a random mid-set band night! Come along after class in Week 3 of the next set for a fun band night with "After Five". Why, you ask? Just because. Dancing to live music is the best! All welcome - if you aren't taking classes this set turn up at 8:30 pm, if you are, then come to class first. No cover charge, spectators/friends welcome. BYO (non-alc) drinks and snacks, please take your rubbish with you. Who are After Five? After Five are a lively jazz band dedicated to bringing the energy and excitement of the swing era to modern-day dance floors. With a repertoire spanning from the 1920s to the current day, their music is perfect for getting all ages and abilities moving and grooving on the dance floor. Their members might look familiar to most, they have come from some of our favourite local swing bands: -Emma Summers - soulful vocals and charismatic stage presence -Glyn Macdonald- masterful piano playing and musical direction - Dave Pitt - solid foundation and infectious groove - Louie Moveley- dynamic drumming and rhythmic flair
