Band night! Free Taster Class! 13 August @ St Michael's

It's time for a band night again, yay!! After so much fun last time, we've invited "After Five" to come back and play for us again, and this time they are even bringing an extra friend of the trumpeting species. *** PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER START TIME!!!*** In order to fit more time in for band-ey goodness, we are starting the taster class before the dance at 7 pm, and the band will kick off at 8 pm. *** 7 pm Free taster class *** Bring your friends, family, strangers off the street, this is a really great chance to get people to see what lindy hop is really all about, with the band following the class it will be fab. No partner or experience required, no obligations to join the regular classes. Perfect! Regulars also welcomed to help give the new dancers a fun time in class! *** 8 pm live band social dance*** No cover charge, spectators/friends welcome. BYO (non-alc) drinks and snacks, please take your rubbish with you. Who are After Five? After Five are a lively jazz band dedicated to bringing the energy and excitement of the swing era to modern-day dance floors. With a repertoire spanning from the 1920s to the current day, their music is perfect for getting all ages and abilities moving and grooving on the dance floor.
