Nessuna classifica e nessun vincitore: nella social dance la pista è un mondo da condividere insieme, alla pari. Ma come ogni Battle che si rispetti, i vari gruppi e scuole di Lindy sono invitati a portare delle coreografie in stile swing, ma non solo, su un pezzo musicale a loro scelta, anche moderno. Nelle edizioni precedenti se ne sono viste letteralmente di tutti i colori, simpatia, bravura, originalità ed entusiasmo hanno reso questa serata speciale. La Battle è aperta a tutti i gruppi e le scuole di Lindy Hop che faranno richiesta di partecipazione entro e non oltre il 20 marzo e si svolgerà durante il party organizzato in occasione del Festival! I membri della band provengono dall'Irlanda e da tutta Italia. Gli Hot Swing Propellers interpretano il jazz degli Anni '20 e '30 con un ritmo ed un battito incalzanti, inondando ascoltatori e ballerini di Swing di gioia e pura emozione. In aggiunta ad una solida base di ‘standard’, i Propellers si dedicano alla ricerca di brani molto meno conosciuti dai primi decenni del jazz, aggiungendo essi al loro repertorio con nuovi arrangiamenti dinamici, innovativi ed effervescenti. Il primo album degli Hot Swing Propellers, “Shine!” e uscito a dicembre 2018. Una collezione di dischi provenienti da tutto il mondo, scelti accuratamente per i ballerini che prediligono lo stile Lindy Hop, Balboa e Shag. Pubblicazioni viniliche da 33 e 45 giri, fino ai dischi in bachelite a 78 giri. Molti di questi brani non sono neanche mai stati digitalizzati, altri invece sono arrangiamenti particolarmente insoliti di pezzi conosciuti. No ranking and no winners: in social dance the dance floor is a place to share, together. And like any respectable Battle, the different Lindy Hop groups and schools are invited to create their own swing-style choreographies, with music of their choice (yes, modern music tracks are allowed!). In the Battel’s previous editions, we’ve literally seen everything, you name it: sympathy, skillfulness, oddness and enthusiasm that made those evenings so special. The Battle is open to all Lindy Hop groups and schools that will apply for participation not later than March 20th. It will take place during the Festival’s party!
