BC Swing Dance Club's June 20th Workshop, Lesson, and Dance!

Where: Bonsor Recreation Complex, 6550 Bonsor Avenue, Burnaby, BC V5H 3G4 (in BOTH the "Active Studio" and then the "Banquet Hall") When: Saturday June 20th, 2026. Doors: 3:45 pm 4:00pm-7:00pm: INTERNATIONAL RALLY WCS CHOREOGRAPHY WITH MICHAEL AND AMY --> in the Active Studio (at the top of the stairs, go straight)* --> 3-hour workshop to learn the 2026 choreography for the International Rally. --> To get a head start, check out the rally choreography video HERE: https://youtu.be/jGqNOBkUWIM?si=bU5zHWLwya8fiLll --> SPACE IS LIMITED. Along the way, they fell in love and got married. Now they share their love of the dance with the community. They teach group lessons in Burnaby and Vancouver, and workshops around BC. 6:45pm-8:15pm: FREE BEGINNER LESSON WITH IAN KIRKCONNELL --> in the Banquet Hall (our usual room)* --> An intro to the basics of West Coast Swing! --> Your Instructor: Ian Kirkconnell has been a stalwart in the Vancouver Dance Community as a teacher for several decades. He has introduced a great many students into the West Coast Swing community and is proud of their accomplishments, including 2 champion level teachers. He is also an active competitor. 8:15pm-11:30pm: WCS SOCIAL DANCE --> Your DJ for the night will be: DJ Dalynne! NEW THING: if you show up any time after Bonsor’s public operating hours (i.e. after 9:00pm) and the front doors are locked, please walk around the outside of the building to the patio doors at the side of the Banquet Hall to get in (and walk to the BC Swing desk to check in). Staff have asked us to avoid walking through the building when it is closed. Note that the latest entry time is 10:00 pm. COST(S): Int.
