Ready to dive into the salsa scene? Whether you've got two left feet or you're just looking to level up, this workshop is your starting line. In just two hours, we'll break down the salsa essentials in a no-fuss, all-fun environment. Saturday April 4th 2 pm to 4 pm Register Here https://bit.ly/salsabeginners0426 What You'll Learn: * Basic Salsa Steps and Rhythms * Simple Turns and Partnering Techniques * The Art of Leading and Following Effectively * Lead & Follow: Roles, Not Rules In Salsa, the roles of "Lead" and "Follow" are about skill and communication, not gender. Lead: Think of the Lead as the driver of the car. The Lead focuses on creating the movements and thinking steps ahead. They're responsible for their own movement and extend an invitation to the Follow to join in—always with compassion and care. All this, while keeping in tune with the timing of the song. Follow: The Follow lives in the present moment, letting go of the urge to control the dance. Their role is to respond to the Lead's movements while maintaining their own timing and balance. Both roles are mutually rewarding and have their unique set of responsibilities and challenges. Together, the Lead and Follow co-create the essence of the dance.
