About this Event

This is an afternoon of focus on Milonguero Style Tango, the tango of the traditional dance halls of Argentina. This style is danced locally and world wide. This is a social form of tango and excels in its ability to navigate easily in a social dance floor. It was built for anyone to learn and it has a characteristic quality of a deep and comfortable connection with our partners in the embrace. The focus is as much on internal qualities as well as external figures; the internal relationship with our partners, a sense of grounded-ness and an energetic exchange of giving and receiving as an aspect of all figures. This workshop afternoon is open to brand new dancers, as well as those who would like an introduction to this style. It is also open to anyone who would like to explore a role that they are not originally trained in (followers who want to lead and leaders who want to follow). Partners not needed. 2 - 1 1/4 hour classes with a tea break in between. $65. Taught by Liz Haight who has been studying and teaching this style for 20 years. Register for this workshop by texting Liz at 505-699-0106.
