About this Event

17-21 September 2020 Koh Phangan island, Thailand Being Nature: Water workshop with Dolores Dewhurst-Marks Being Nature project is about connecting with deeper self and the natural world. To live a life embodied - empowered by authenticity and intuitive wisdom. Alive in the poeticality, beauty and mystery of everyday life. Developed through the practice of contemplation and dancing with nature. The workshop will focus on the water element. We will explore water’s behaviour, it’s ways of moving and relating, it’s wisdom. Investigating the water within ourselves and how it is reflected in the world outside of us. Its patterns of movement: spherical, wave, spiral. It’s states of being: solid, liquid, gas. It’s inherent qualities: sensitive, adaptive, dynamic. We will experiment with applying this knowledge in self explorative movement, partner work, contact improvisation and dance. Practicing in the water and in the studio. The workshop is based on the research of scientist Theodor Schwenk, presented in the book Sensitive Chaos, and on the study of human/evolutionary development from Body-Mind Centering. 5 days workshop consists of 7 sessions; 12 hours in the studio, 8 hours in the water.
