BEIRUT INTERNATIONAL TANGO FESTIVAL 2014

Concerts April 29 - 30, 2014 Milongas + Maestros Shows May 1 - 4, 2014 Tourism: May 5 - 6, 2014 BITF is back for its 6th edition, we are so excited and happy to share our tango passion with you and to make you discover our lovely warm friendly and beautiful country rich in history. Charming Beirut, on the Mediterranean, where old friends come back, and new friends are made. All workshops will take place on the beautiful campus of the American University of Beirut. Milongas are taking place in the legendary St Georges Yacht Club ballroom. Built in 1932 by French and Lebanese architects, it has been BITF's home for the last 3 years. Why? BITF has been such an unexpectedly pleasant journey for everyone who took part, leaving each festival behind with a bunch of good memories, new friends, and some sunshine in a bag. The festival has attracted participants from all over the globe, welcoming friends from over 35 countries last year, and the list will keep on growing with you! You are invited to take part in this unique experience that will combine the pleasure of dancing tango with the discovery of Lebanon, a country with a rich history and an ancient civilization predating JC by 5 thousand years. Also, the food is amazing :) What makes BITF different? Our participants will have the opportunity to participate in 2 organized tourism trips after the festival, from the ancient port-city of Byblos on Monday May 5th, to the everlasting Cedar Forest of the Chouf and Beiteddine on Tuesday May 6th.
