Earthshake Ecstatic Dance Presents: BELTANE BALL Beltane is the Gaelic May Day festival, marking the beginning of summer. It is traditionally held on 1 May, midway between the spring equinox and summer solstice. EARTHSHAKE is every First Friday, and this year, our May dance lands EXACTLY on Beltane. So...... of course, our theme for the month will be "the return of the light", fertility, renewal and celebration. Please wear BRIGHT colors, and consider wearing more "traditional" outfits. Consider bringing bright spring flowers to add the space or an offering to our collective potluck. As always there is no "right" or "wrong" way to participate in ecstatic dance. As long as you are listening to yourself, listening to the music, attuning to others and respecting the space, yu are doing it right :) You can spend the whole dance moving slow and small or resting, or, you can become the embodiment of wind. You can become a human incarnation of the ocean, of a storm, of your favorite jungle creature, a clown, a goblin, or, perhaps your inner child. Earthshakes motto: SET YOURSELF FREE.
