Beltane is back ! Brought to you by Enliven Wellness Festival BC. ​ We are all waking up from a collective hibernation and it's time to get wild! Beltane is an ancient Celtic holiday celebrating fertility and the coming of summer through fire, music and dance. Our lives are deeply interwoven with the cycles of nature - as the days get hotter, the fire of the sun transforms the landscape into a lush, fertile place full of blossoms and beauty. And that landscape is you, it is all of us, blossoming into our fullest expression and ready to create magic. The artists coming together to collaborate this year are: Ragunath Khe (2 hour ecstatic dance journey) Green-Eyed Lion (Drum Circle & Tribal DJ set) Black Phoenix (Bass Set) Firefox Chakaruna (Deep House) MC Shakti (Tribal Deep House & Ancient Bass) Jada Fire Kalika (Prayerformance, Opening Ceremony & Primordial Practice Dance Workshop) PLUS so many incredible fire performers throughout the whole night! (with room for more if you want to join us!) PURPOSE To strengthen our human family through our shared connection to the elements of nature, and the ancient medicine of song, dance and gathering - to remind us of these common threads which are woven across all cultures. THEME - Alchemy & ritual. - Creating a relationship with the sacred fire. Most importantly - we are cultivating reciprocity, the fire is not something we simply ask to receive from unconditionally, we also give our blessings and our gratitude for its warmth, for its teachings, for its hypnotic beauty and uncanny ability to bring us all together! We are celebrating all that we have to be grateful for in this life! Fire is an alchemical element - meaning it has the power to transform matter, to burn pieces of the material world to the ground so their ashes may become fertilizer for new growth. We come to humble ourselves before this powerful teacher and ally - the fire reminds us that we have the ability to transform and transcend our limitations. EXPRESSION We encourage you to get out your favorite outfits and dress to express! We invite you to adorn yourselves in any pieces that make you feel connected to your lineage/culture, or perhaps your favorite festival outfit or a costume you create to align with the theme. What ever makes you feel most vibrant, authentic and embodied! RESPONSIBILITY We encourage sober partying or intentionally consuming (legal) plant medicines that you feel connected to in order to maintain a safe space and good vibes for everybody. This is also a leave no trace event, we ask that you treat the land with respect and leave it the same as (or better than) you found it. CO-CREATION YOU are what makes this event come alive! We will be building and maintaining the big central bonfire together throughout the night as well as co-creating a ceremonial effigy burn at sunset. Wood will be provided, but if you have access to firewood, or have something sacred that you want to burn in the fire you can bring it (of course no unnatural materials like plastic etc.). If you have fire toys, bring them! (as long as you have experience and the appropriate safety gear). LED flow toys are also encouraged. LOCATION Pemberton Meadows, BC Exact location is disclosed to participants via email 1 day prior to the event. It is about a 2.5 hour drive North of Vancouver. COST $75 - adults $35 youth/children (0-18) NOTE: Your ticket includes parking and GA camping for tents, vans or RVs. Spaces are limited due to farm capacity - so make sure not to wait until last minute as we may sell out.
