Bending Classic Patterns at Bienvenida

Surya Parekh is your guest teacher this Monday only, as Rebecca has another engagement. Surya's been a beneficial presence in the Bienvenida classes for weeks, heading over to the Uke after hosting his own weekly practica, arriving for the last part of class and jumping in to support dancers wherever it's helpful. He's also been teaching tango in New York City and upstate for the last 7 years. This Monday he'll depart his practica early in order to guest-teach the entire class. He's devised a fun class topic that is flexible enough to inspire anyone ~ and thus, I suppose, various classic patterns will bend this Monday! You'll work with patterns that are commonly taught in a linear shape, adjusting them in several specific ways to make them curve, turn, or squiggle! 6:30-7:30 Tango Class on Bending, Curving, or inviting circularity into some classic, popular step patterns 7:30-8:00 Practice Time, wind down, order dinner, rev up for... 8:00-midnight Bienvenida Milonga Host & DJ: Andrew $20 for EITHER the class+practice OR the milonga $30 for the whole evening
