Binair01 closes Copacobana Festival '16 with a live band and a dj-set.
Copacobana is a free festival near Ghent offering a wide variety of live music, theatre, dance and workshops spread over 3 days (24-25-26 of june). We contribute to the line-up with the French balkan electro quintet Asa I-viata closing the main stage, and our resident dj Mnsr Zéro closing the dancefloor area with a magnificent party.

① Asa I-viata
A French quintet playing all kinds of acoustic and electronic East-European music. Digging deep into the raw heritage of balkan, Ashkenazic klezmer, southern slave sevdah and lautaris tzigani music, Asa I-viata succeeds in transforming the traditional styles into contemporary arrangements.
Their music perfectly matches the needs of big festival crowds, combining vivid and contagious balkan-gipsy tunes between Serbia and Turkey with tight electronic beats influenced by Western dance music. Their concert will make you smile, travel and dance.
② Mnsr Zéro
Mnsr zér0 combines an expanded music collection from all quarters of our planet with traditional clubmix techniques. The sum of classical beatmatching and unconventional dancetunes results in a unique sound.
His sets are surprising blends of greasy balkan with a crazy gipsy wink, super tight electric cumbiabeats on eclectic afrolatinoriffs, hot Spanish nuevo flamenco melting on übercooled Scandinavian swinghip-hop, rumba Catalána versus African clubzouk, contagious ska infecting French jazz manouche, solid reggaetón devouring fragile tango, Arabian raps clashing with uptempo klezmer. His mixes always feature an exciting variety of rhythms and are a real relief for people addicted to dancing and searching for challenges beyond the simple beats of shallow radio hit music.
