About this Event
Grand Rapids’ Lamarr Williford drops by West Coast Wednesdays (WCW) on May 22nd to teach and socialize with his West Coast Swing (WCS) family.
“This is going to be an extremely fun return to WCW,” Lamarr says. “Newer dancers will get an introduction to (or review of) the foundations of WCS. Intermediate (and above) dancers will review a variety of ways to put blind whips to use during social dancing.”
“Let’s whip ourselves into better dance shape,” Lamarr says, “by having fun, laughs, and silliness, all while working on improving our WCS skills as both social and competitive dancers.”
Lamarr’s lessons for the evening will cover:
– For the 7:00 novice/beginner-level lesson – How it All Starts – Learn or review the fundamentals of WCS.
– For the 7:45 intermediate-level lesson – Blind Whips – Learn some of the many variations and stylings of blind whips.
