Welcome to BloomDance, the ecstatic dance adventure, a co-creation from our beautiful community to journey into the depths of ourselves, and out into the energy of the cosmos. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🌸 Theme 🌸 Jungle Temple ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ July's theme is Jungle Temple: an ancient structure reclaimed by the forest, where the vines have grown through the stone and something sacred still hums in the walls. For your outfit, think serpents and jaguars, jungle priestesses and overgrown gods, mossy greens and deep earth browns with flashes of gold. Wrap yourself in leaves, feathers, ritual markings. Dress like something that was worshipped once, or like the jungle itself deciding to take a human shape. Come ready to move, shed, and let the forest move through you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🌸 DJ: Honey of the Heart ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Justin Ancheta and Maren Metke have musical nectar flowing through their veins. The dynamic Grass Valley duo is the driving force behind a project that is even sweeter than it sounds. Honey of the Heart is an ambrosial mix of musical interpretations influenced by folk, soul, roots, and world/flamenco styles. Built upon a repertoire of uplifting original material, they join together, or with other phenomenal musicians to create in an organic state of symbiosis. Many of their songs come forth like ancient incantations, casting angelic spells on all in their path.
