This is an experiment. A playground. We feel that we need a non commercial place outside the city of Berlin where we can come together more regularly to spend a healing weekend in nature and community. The vision is to create a place where this is possible. A calm and peaceful oasis in the beautiful countryside. We have a nice place near a forest and a lake in the surroundings of Berlin that we currently build up to share with the Blue Monkey community. So this will not be a styled-through, professional festival or a luxury retreat but rather a relaxed weekend hang out with friends, sharing rituals, arts and music. It's camping! We don't offer any tents, mattresses or blankets! So please bring your own tent, ISO mat, sleeping bag and/or blankets - whatever you need for an outside night of good rest and sweet dreams. You can of course also sleep in your camping van or your car on the parking field. TRANSPORT: By car: Take the B158 (e.g. via B109), enter Leuenberg, turn right onto Gartenstraße, the first left (still Gartenstraße), the 2nd right, drive Gartenstraße until the end. There you will find the Blue Monkey check in and you can park on the big field behind the check in. From there walk into the area. You can get your ticket at the outdoor bar if you haven't paid yet. If you come by car and use your navi make sure to enter the right postcode or you might end up in Bavaria 7 hours later... Its 16259! By train: From Berlin Ostkreuz take the RB25 until Werneuchen (ca. 30min). There you can either take the bus 887 Bad Freienwalde über Falkenberg (5 stops) until Leuenberg Dorf. From there it's a 5-minute-walk to the festival grounds. Public Transport Connections (1 hour from Ostkreuz to us!) SATURDAY 11:21, 13:21 & 15:21 from Ostkreuz to the location SUNDAY 15:30 & 17:33 from Leuenberg Dorf to Ostkreuz SHUTTLE SERVICE: Please let us know if you can't make the train/bus connections and need a shuttle from and to Werneuchen train station! PRE SALE: Early Monkey Ticket: 39€ (for all) Regular Monkey Ticket: Adults: 49€ Kids (2-12 yrs): 29€ Teenagers (13-17 yrs): 39€ Babies (under 2yrs): free WHAT TO BRING Please bring your own tent, Iso mat, sleeping bad, a torch (or mobile with torch and if you have a power bank to recharge your mobile...), a yoga mat, a bowl or deep plate to eat from, a cup or mug to drink from and your preferred cutlery (a spoon should be enough), some money for the outdoor bar/ kitchen and whatever else you need to have it comfortable. Please bring only organic and chemical free shower/ shampoo products for the outdoor shower to protect the environment. Best is a simple soap bar without any additives. GOT NO MON(K)EY? We try to keep the prices low and affordable yet we have to ask for money in order to cover the costs we have to build up, maintain and organise this space. However, if this is still not possible for you, just apply for the team a couple of weeks before the camp and give some of your time and energy to help creating the event in exchange for the enjoyment. Or be quick and catch one of the super cheap early bird tickets. GOOD TO KNOW The accomodation is camping only and all the dances and workshops will take place outdoors. So in case of heavy rain or thunderstorm the weekend will be postponed to the last august weekend. Your pre-sale tickets will be valid for the next date. SUBSTANCE-FREE EVENT The event is drug-free. Smoking is only allowed in the smoking area. Please don't smoke anywhere else and always use the ash trays there, carefully putting out your monkey cigarettes. KIDS Yes, you can bring your kid(s)! We have special prices for kids and teenagers. Babies don’t need a ticket. We don’t have any nannies though, so if you bring your kid you will have to take care of them yourself and make sure that they are safe at all times. Of course you can organise something with the other parents there and take turns with child care so every parent can get some free time! Please also respect that there will be people who need their quiet time and take your kids for a walk in the fields or play with them outside the workshop area during quiet phases, like meditations etc. Thank you. PREVENTING WILD FIRE The land is dry at the moment and we are at a high risk of wildfire. Please know and respect that and if you smoke, do so ONLY in the marked area for smoking, using the ashtrays and putting out your cigarettes carefully and completely by yourself. ARRIVAL & LEAVING TIMES You can arrive on Saturday between 12am and 2pm. The event will end at 4:30 pm on Sunday. Then the space has to be cleaned up. Please help and clean up after you. Don't leave any garbage in the camping or workshop area. Wanna hang some more with your friends in nature? You can! After the cleaning/ packing up everybody who wants travels to the sandy beach at the lake nearby for some splishy splashy free flow community lake action.
