Blues Dance Monday Helswingi After Party

Blues Dance Monday takes place on Mondays except for the first Monday of the month. Let's dance to selected Blues tunes, enjoy the bar's offerings and chat with old and new friends. On September 23 we'll host the official Helswingi 2019 after party with DJs Bluebird and Shimmy Sister playing their best jazzy blues tunes to cater for blues, slow bal and even some slow and low lindy. Can't wait! EVERYONE IS WELCOME Blues Dance Mondays are social Blues dance events in Helsinki open for everyone. Previous Blues dance experience is not a requirement, but if you are interested in learning opportunities, the organizers and other dancers are happy to help you find more information about courses and workshops. HOW TO PREPARE - There is no entrance fee, thus you are encouraged to show your support by buying something to drink at the bar - Water is available at the bar - The floor is made of stone and it's rather slippery. It's advisable to bring several dance shoes to find a best match with the floor - Please keep good care of your personal hygiene and please avoid wearing any strong perfumes out of respect towards those more sensitive of us! - Some help is needed with arranging the furniture before and after the party. The restaurant closes at 22:00. - Ravintola Oiva is open all day long, but the kitchen is not open on Monday evenings. However, there are some small snacks to buy at the bar, and there are a lot of restaurants close by for a bigger hunger. SAFE SPACE We like to keep our events open for all, thus it's also important for us to keep the party a safe space for everyone attending.
