About this Event
Blues Dancing for Lindy Hoppers* Workshop
*No actual Lindy Hop experience necessary, though it will be referenced
Love Lindy Hop and want to explore Blues dancing from near your comfort zone? Just miss Edinbop's Blues classes and dancing? Completely new to dancing but eager to get started? This workshop is for you.
This exciting Blues dancing workshop with Greg pulls on the commonalities between Lindy Hop and Blues Idiom Dances. You'll build on some of the Lindy Hop skills you may already have (such as triple steps) and explore some new skills (that you’ll also be able to cross-apply to your Lindy Hop).
Complete beginners to Blues dancing, Lindy Hop and/or to dancing in general are welcome, no partner necessary.
You'll almost immediately be able to put your new Blues dancing skills into practice because included with your ticket is the evening's Southside Stomp social dance! Castle Rock Jazz Band will be playing live Blues music for us, as well as Swing music, so we can dance the night away.
The workshop takes place in Quaker Studio at the Pleasance on the 2nd of December, 1.30pm-4.30pm. Tickets are £30 / £20 concessions (including entry to Southside Stomp).

Southside Stomp is then 8pm-11pm in Binks Hall at Greyfriars Charteris Centre [https://fb.me/e/6VLnlvZyx].
Thanks to EUSDS for collaborating on this workshop with us!
