Blues Lesson with Jackie and Chris Lo

Welcome to another online series of lessons. We are so excited to have local dancers, Jackie and Chris Lo, teach us solo and partner BLUES. A lot of our dancers have expressed interest in this style, especially now that we have the time to practice. What started as a casual hobby quickly turned into a deep passion for expression of music through movement. He started his training in Ballroom and quickly moved on to social dances including lindy hop, blues, and west coast swing. His background of martial arts and teaching has translated itself into dancing and dance instruction. He travels around the country teaching and competing in several dance styles. Jacqueline started her dance journey over a decade ago. She studied jazz, tap and salsa as an undergrad and began to look for other avenues of dance. She discovered lindy hop and blues in 2007 and has been hooked ever since. She was a committee member of Swing Out South Florida and organized Underground Blues for several years. You can find her teaching and competing in several dance styles these days including blues and west coast swing. She continues to develop her own dance and enjoys sharing her knowledge and joy of dance with others.
