Bluesy Tuesy June 30 Fireworks Night - Schedule May Change!

Somerville's Fourth of July Fireworks will be during this Tuesday! Broadway will be closed from Ceder to Medford St, parking is likely to be much less available than usual. We may go listen to and dance at the live music for part of the evening. We'll have a lesson by Stephen, tunes from DJ Duckfeet Check here for last minute changes! Right now we plan on the usual lesson at 7:30, open social from 8:30 till at least 10:30pm, and "afters", hanging out, eating and chatting once we're done dancing. The city will have live music at 6, a reading of the declaration of independence, more live music at 7:30, remarks by the mayor, and fireworks a bit after 9pm. This is all at Trum field, two blocks from our venue. 👃Please avoid using scented products of any kind (deodorant is fine) as some staff & community members could have allergic reactions! 💸 Admission: sliding scale of $5-$25 (cash only) We take IOU's. Our volunteers, the heartbeat of our community, enjoy free entry. Interested in helping out? Just ask! 🌟 New to partner dancing? No worries! Everyone starts as a beginner, and we’re all here to learn and dance together. No partner needed. 🏳️‍🌈 We are a LGTBQIA+ friendly event. MORE INFO (and friendly tips!): • Bring your kindness, a reusable water bottle, and comfy dance shoes. • Our venue is steps away from the Magoun Square station on the Green Line, and various buses on Broadway in Somerville.
