About this Event

Body Ecologies with Dolores Saturdays 10:00-13:00 at The Source, Koh Phangan, Thailand Theses sessions explore the anatomical nature and biomechanics of the human body in solo and contact improvisation. Understanding how we are internally organised brings integrity and ease to our moving body, developing our physical awareness and extending it to our dance partners. Each class will focus on inherent structures, functions and motions that specifically support us when dancing together. We will process the embodiment of anatomical images through touch based movement explorations, solo improvisations, and partner exercises. Along with 30 mins at the end for open exploration and integrative jamming. The final element will be to look together at how our inner ecology is interrelated with the natural world surrounding us. We are complex organisms, I hope to make it simple enough for our curiosity to lead us, to sense, feel and trust our bodies innate wisdom. The explorations are designed for all kinds of bodies and experience levels of contact improvisation. Time: 10:00-13:00 Location: The Source Price: 300 TBH Registration: @Dolores Dewhurst Marks Intra-active Body Ecologies is part of BEING NATURE PROJECT - Encouraging people to discover their own way of connecting with deeper self and the natural world.
