Body, Space, Time : One Thing

If time happens through the body, space are the bodies in the space, and body is such a mystery, I dare to say that they are the same phenomena of presence only happening right now... With the blessing of being in the countryside, at a farm, embodiment of principles of life becomes more accessible. With silence regarding us the minimum overload for the systems of the body, we can open the senses to receive life again. Our practice is about meeting, listening, falling and flying; in the bottom, and at the process: is about dancing. Or shall we say, about being danced? Our attention, in this case, plays a very important role. How to play with the entangled forces that make us alive? To be aware of what happens beyond words? I understand that our dance is a practice. And our practice is to get closer to the place of being the dance itself... I see that it is not about doing that, exactly, but feeling it, with our wholeness... How to teach that? I feel that nature helps us to remember who we really are. [ I once heard with my eyes what Kazuo Ohno said: If you want to ask the spirit, your open hand is not enough, do that with your whole body, and let the spirit enter through your eyes, that are everywhere, by the way. ] We invite our senses to be available, and maybe to have less hierarchy in between them, regarding our attention and availability to receive. We invite our identities, or ego, to step out of the way... We invite to radically trust in our bodies, guts, antennas, and in the subtleties of the present moment, as something bigger than our current standing-social-body, a present, that includes the invention of a dance based on shared principles. Do we need a dose of surrendering, and trust, in the dance itself, as a teacher, too? We will open up time and hold the space, suggesting paths, mainly for our attention to take as material, and let grow what is happening from inside out and outside in. Body, Space and Time, same thing. It is a C.I. workshop. [ Can we enjoy the "depth of the sky" and the "being high of earth", as if it is the easiest thing that we can do? About Alessandro Rivellino Bio 1: Where is the intersection of dreamland and awaken realm at this big reality called Dream? Alessandro Rivellino? What to say? I have been living dance and contact improvisation in a surrendered way as a dancer for 18 years (if i do not count my childhood experiences) and as a teacher for 13, and I had the opportunity to travel to 26 countries, offering and having classes, intensive courses, workshops, residencies and Jams with different and experienced colleagues, what probably gave me a good "floor" to start with 'not knowing with certain quality' ... I have also organized, with more people, different meetings and festivals of this beautiful practice, in Brazil, Italy, Peru, Argentina, Denmark, Portugal, Norway, Turkey and Mexico. I come from different dance schools at the somatic level and movement research, today I see that I have danced and taught a good part of my life and yet I feel that I have just started. In my practice I have been integrating various techniques and bringing the potential of dance to life. If I ask myself between my name and my body, the second one is the dearest, and if you ask about my deepest interest in dancing and teaching the answer would be around living questions related to dance itself, to the presence and to the Big Mystery. I Hope through this illusion of you and I being separated, we can drop it, and go beyond our hanging names to explore the in-between field of existence to dance and be danced with and through the visible and invisible forces entangled at each single moment and find the way to be at the arch of beauty. ... Bio2: If I would live from the glory of the past, I would tell you that i have 18 years of surrendering life to dance, and that when I was child I used to dance a lot. And even, i could say about recognizments, goals, and progress. I could say that i was awarded as best dancer, that i was nominated as best dancer another time and director, that I have an award for artistic and research excellence, that I have a masters degree, that I travelled 26 countries teaching, dancing, organizing festivals, labs, retreats, residencies. I could say that I was part of the Experimental dance group for several years, as a student and teacher. That I had funds for creating art pieces that were awarded and nominated, and for studying and travelling. But really, if I cannot forget about that, you will not reach me, there are too many past, too many "I", let's just understand that "wrinkles are the knowledge" and the body knows where to go. If we trust, we will meet at a common field, the field of presence, the only place where dancing, learning and teaching can happen.
