This Body & Voice Master Class will share and teach basic vocal technique for Taiwanese Indigneous conventional songs, with the dancers. It will integrate body movements from Bulareyaung Dance Company's repertoire, creating moments for movement to sound to coexist at the same time.
This 90-minute class is designed for dancers with a minimum of four (4) years of ballet/contemporary dance experience, with current regular dance training (a minimum of three (3) times per week). Comfortable dance attire is advised, in socks or with bare feet.
ABOUT Bulareyaung Pagarlava
Bulareyaung Pagarlava is from the Paiwan tribe of Taiwan. He has been invited on numerous occasions to choreograph and perform. In 2014, his increasing awareness of Paiwani identity led him towards a new path, focusing on Indigenous culture. He founded Bulareyaung Dance Company in the same year.
