Please read through following description carefully and pick the one (or two) that has drawn you in the most. Be honest with your feelings, this way you will get the most out of it! Theme 1: ESPARZA Concepts for this theme are designed to solidify your dance with new perspectives on basics and improvement. This involves deeper insight into body mechanics, pivots and torque, connection-ship, footwork techniques, improvisation practice, and lots of space to smooth out the transitions. If you’re the kind of dancer that want to become a better social dancer, working on technique and aesthetics, or you might even think of competing, then this theme suits perfectly to meet your needs. Theme 2: DAMRON Here we incorporate experimental practice concepts that can help expand your potential and add in playfulness and musicality for both Followers and Leaders. „Do I Know Where I’m Going?“ is going to be a quote of guidance, wisdom and attitude that will direct our choices at both subconscious and conscious levels of awareness. If you are the kind of a dancer who already enjoys training more complex moves/rhythms, if you are open minded, love adding rhythms, stylings, and shapes, you feel creatively trapped in your role and you want to break out of the box, or are simply in search of the detail that might change your dance, then don’t hesitate to start your journey at DAMRON level. When they were baby-sitting him, his grandparents usually brought Gašper to social dances, and held him while waltzing through the dance floor. That dancing feeling and flow became essential to Gašper’s perception of what dancing is all about. It triggered his general interest in dance, along with all physical activities such as team sports and martial arts. Gašper's dancing path went from classical social dancing, to world competitions in Hip-Hop and Breakdancing; from the first Swing-out in Ljubljana, to a professional career throughout Europe. Needless to say, the search for that “magical” flow from his youth continues to this day, and if you have ever danced with Gašper, you know what we’re talking about. Gašper is a professional dance instructor who, regardless of the level of the class, sets dancers on a journey with a productive and creative spirit. “We learn from each other” is the mindset that puts his workshops in another category. His workshops are supported by knowledge of body awareness, his original material, and inspiration from his favourite dance masters. Selena has been a Balboa fanatic since 2008. She started her journey in Southern California where the dance was born, and where she met some of the original dance masters at her first Balboa event, Balboa Rendezvous. Drawing inspiration from both modern swing dancers and OG's, she loves to discover and explore new ways to express her musical interpretations within the partnership, and make her partner laugh.
