BOOTCAMP: Salsa & Bachata Foundation

🌺 HAWAI‘I DANCE EXPO — THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15 🌺 Honolulu, Hawai‘i | October 15–19, 2026 We’re opening the 8th Hawai‘i Dance Expo with something very special — and something you don’t see very often. Two pioneers. Two veterans of the dance world. Decades of experience. 🔥 Ismael Otero — Mastering Salsa Fundamentals 🔥 Rodney “Rodchata” Aquino — Mastering Dominican Bachata Fundamentals These two legendary instructors have spent decades teaching, dancing, traveling and helping build their respective dance communities. And on Thursday afternoon, they’re going back to what everything else is built on: THE FOUNDATIONS. It’s rare to see instructors with this much experience dedicate a full workshop to fundamentals. But foundations matter. Before the patterns, combinations and fancy moves, there has to be timing, movement, connection, technique and understanding of the dance. This is a chance for newer dancers to build the right habits — and for experienced dancers and instructors to go back and sharpen the things that sometimes get overlooked. 📍 Paradise Tango 2600 S.
