Aninha Malandro, Brasil Baile Funk crew & Capoeira Brasil bring communities together for one hot, diverse special night of music, dance and art. Brasil Baile Funk on Fire party #2 Event starts with a samba class with no additional cost from 9-10pm taught by the boss lady of Samba, The one and only Aninha Malandro (Samba n' Motion) along with live drums. **Aninha Malandro Ana Carla Laidley is from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. She is samba dancer and master instructor, based in Los Angeles, whose classes integrate traditional and contemporary Samba styles. Ana grew up receiving influences from great masters of Samba, starting at her house, with her parents. Ana’s father is a very talented musician, Carlinhos Pandeiro de Ouro, and her mother, Ana Gomes, was a professional dancer. Ana has paraded in the Samba Schools in Brasil for over thirty times. Ana paraded for Estacio de Sa, Mangueira, Viradouro, and Uniao da Ilha! Ana carries over twenty years of experience teaching Samba. She is continuously researching and creating projects to better develop a methodology that better “translates” her knowledge about and passion to her Native Culture. She has taught in Australia, Japan, Hawaii, and other USA States. SPECIAL GUEST: ** DJ Yukicito Yukicito is a multi-talented DJ, producer, and musician whose “fresco tracks” are known to keep bodies moving across LA’s global music scene. A native of Osaka, Japan, Yukicito crosses borders and genres with rich mixes that range from Classic Soul to Samba, from Cumbia to Bhangra, from Afro-Funk to Japanese Minyo, and all the luscious grooves that fall in between. His style is highly influenced by world travel, giving him access to the authentic sounds of native musicians while expanding his skills as a multi-instrumentalist. Each “Yukicito Remix” blends traditional sounds with a modern twist and draws inspiration from artists such as Buyepongo, Quetzal Guerrero, Ethio-Cali, and Mark de Clive Lowe.
