🌟 Welcome to our Brazilian Zouk Basics 1 course! 🌟 Basics 1 is split into two 5 week modules, 1A and 1B. They can be taken in either order. ❓ Who is this for? Have you done our Foundations course or another beginners course, and are ready to immerse yourself in the rhythm and vibe of Brazilian Zouk? This course is for you! 🥳 We will be maintaining our focus on rhythm, timing, and connection with our partner. We will introduce you to more of the core movements in Brazilian Zouk, and work on transitions and creativity so you can feel confident and have fun on the social dance floor🤩 ❓What do I need to know to join the course? We would like everyone joining this course to be familiar with the following skills and movements: - Brazilian Zouk timing - Comfortable embrace - Leading from the body - Basic on the spot, and back & forth - Viradinha - Lateral - Elastico This course isn't suitable for complete beginners. If that is you, we have a Foundations course starting the same day! ❓ I’ve heard repeating courses is helpful - why is that? We strongly believe in the power of repetition ✨ Repeating courses allows you to focus on fundamental technique, musicality, and body awareness without the pressure of learning lots of new movements. For this reason, we highly recommend that students taking Basics 1 also repeat Foundations.
