About your teachers:
Since 2022, Piro and Nelly have been teaching Brazilian Zouk together in Stockholm, Sweden, where they are recognized as sought-after teachers and community builders. Their classes
blend solid technique with a playful, welcoming atmosphere, always infused with humor and joy.
As passionate social dancers, they emphasize the importance of both leading and following, while highlighting the true spirit of partner dance: connection, musicality, and inclusivity.
No matter your level, you’ll feel at home in their classes. They believe that true social dancing means being able to connect with partners of all levels, not just advanced dancers. Step by step, they guide students from the fundamentals to more complex movements, always showing that with the right technique, nothing is out of reach.
Workshops abroad include Lausanne (Switzerland), Tokyo (Japan) and Cape Town (South Africa). They organise weekly classes, socials and monthly parties in Stockholm and are a force to be
reckoned with in the Stockholm Community.
Piro, originally from Cuba, has been part of the international Zouk scene since 2016. Known as the “Counterbalance King” at Zouk Marathons, he is celebrated for his creative experiments with
advanced movements and his ever-present Cuban humor. His teaching style is patient, practical, and sprinkled with jokes—because everything can be explained, and usually with a
smile.
Nelly is a former professional dancer and a certified Pilates teacher. She brings her deep knowledge of movement and body awareness into her Zouk teaching, helping students gain
confidence and precision. With a soft yet firm approach, she supports dancers in discovering how their bodies move best within the dance. she also has a silver medal from the only Jack and Jill she participated in ;)
